An exploration as to whether, under the terms of GNU GPL 2.0 and 3.0, a distributor of covered code is entitled to (a) provide a copy of the relevant license in electronic form, or else via a link to an online location; (b) rely on online distribution of source code without the need to offer source code on a physical medium; and (c) rely on a third party’s distribution of the corresponding source code.
